- MOTOREX takes the spotlight as the official lubricant partner of the new GASGAS factory teams in the Motocross World Championship and other race series
The BUCHER-MOTOREX Group and the motorcycle manufacturer GASGAS are launching a new global strategic partnership. Effective immediately, MOTOREX will be responsible for the first fill in all production models of the Spanish off-road specialist. In addition, the long-established Swiss company will take the spotlight as the official lubricant partner of the two new GASGAS factory teams in the Motocross World Championship. MOTOREX will also be supporting all the other GASGAS national and international racing activities – from trials and enduro down to rally raid.
As a result of this partnership, MOTOREX will now further expand its position as a reliable OEM and motorsport partner for leading motorcycle manufacturers and racing teams worldwide. Beginning immediately, GASGAS will rely exclusively on engine and gear oils from Langenthal for the first fill in its production bikes. The brand also recommends that its customers use the high-quality care and maintenance products MOTOREX includes in its extensive MOTOLINE product range. Since the signing of a joint venture agreement in October 2019, Europe's largest motorcycle manufacturer KTM has been the majority shareholder in GASGAS.
The two partners will also begin immediately to bundle their strengths and expertise in motorsports. The 2020 season of the Motocross World Championship will kick off with GASGAS making its joint debut with MOTOREX by competing in the race with two of its own factory teams. The new Standing Construct GASGAS Factory Racing Team will be competing in the MXGP premium championship class with riders Glenn Coldenhoff and Ivo Monticelli. In the MX2 category, the DIGA Procross GASGAS Factory Juniors team will be racing with the hopeful young talents Jeremy Sydow and Simon Langenfelder sporting the colours of GASGAS and MOTOREX. The Spanish motorcycle manufacturer is also represented in numerous other racing disciplines: factory driver Laia Sanz – who finished this year's Dakar Rally as the best female competitor – is regarded as a seasoned rally raid specialist. Taddy Blazusiak will be representing GASGAS and MOTOREX in the WESS Enduro World Championship. And in the FIM Trial World Championship, GASGAS has two more irons in the fire with Jorge Casales (FIM X-Trial World Championship) and Albert Cabestany (FIM Trial-E World Cup). The two riders will both reap the benefits of the high-quality lubricants from MOTOREX.
